Mehndi (Henna)

The mehndi (henna) was more than what we imagined it to be in our loftiest of dreams - a spacious room full of color, zeal, joy, vigor, and most importantly love. Photography by HAK Photography.

LED lighting by DJ Rocky. Decorations and venue by BBQ Tonite. The rang-barang (colorful) floor tables were the perfect accompaniment to the desi (anything related to Indian or Pakistani culture) look. 

 Simple, elegant stage provided an abundance of space for our guests to take photographs and  participate in the rasms (traditions). The joohla (swing) added a fairytale feel.

Our main colors were green, orange, and yellow, but in the spirit of the mehndi and for the love of colors, we were permissive of reds, blues, and other hues. This table has a beautifully decorated vase with yellow napkins and a green table cloth. 

Mayoun (pre-wedding festivity)

Close friends and family of the bride gathered together to celebrate the beginning of the wedding festivities. We ate delicious food, danced to Bollywood music, and laughed the night away.
